Harriet Tubman Film Coming Soon

Harriet Tubman is a trending topic this year and we’re happy that her legacy is alive and able to enlighten a new generation.

Following the breaking news of Tubman becoming the new face of the 20 dollar bill, a film will be made in her honor.

The tentatively titled Harriet will deliver an epic adventure of the abolitionist, Underground Railroad conductor, nurse, spy and warrior.

A woman of great strength and courage, Harriet Tubman is an American icon with a powerful story.

Producers behind the film include: Charles D. King (Founder & CEO–Macro, Fences, The Land) Debra Martin Chase (The Princess Diaries, Sparkle), Gregory Allen Howard (ALI), Daniela Taplin Lundberg (Beasts of No Nation, The Kids Are Alright) and Kim Roth (President of Production–Macro, Mena, Inside Man).

Seith Mann, who directed the VH1 series, The Breaks along with Homeland and Elementary, will also take on directorial duties for Harriet.

Gregory Allen Howard will pen the script.

Harriet is slated to begin production in early 2017.
