Hannibal Buress Lands Half-Hour TV Show

Hannibal Buress

If you enjoyed his stand-up or love him on Comedy Central’s “Broad City,” get ready for even more of comedian Hannibal Buress. Deadline.com is reporting that the comic is getting his own weekly, half-hour comedy show on Comedy Central, entitled “Why?”

From Deadline:

Executive produced by Buress, Jeff Stilson (Da Ali G Show) and 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, the series will feature the comedian providing his perspective on each week’s zeitgeist-driven topic, answering the burning questions on his mind through stand-up, filmed segments, man-on-the-street interviews and in-studio guests. To stay topical, each episode will be shot in front of a studio audience, taping the same week it airs.

The incredibly funny Buress is a former writer for “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock,” where he also occasionally appeared on-camera.
