Halp Wanted: Drake Destroys Macklemore’s Apology
We can call this an instance of wack-on-wack crime.
The rap answer to Kenny G., aka Drake, decided to vent his spleen about Macklemore’s apology to Kendrick Lamar for winning the Grammy that
some most say should have gone to the Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City lyrical wunderkind.
Apparently, young Drizzy was feeling more than some type of way about Mack’s texted/then Instagrammed assertion that Kendrick was robbed and he weighed in on the hollowness of the gesture to Rolling Stone.
“…that shit was wack as f*ck,” Drake railed in a series of remarks you can read at Rolling Stone HERE. “I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better — make better music,'” he tells us. “It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt?”
And if that wasn’t enough, the Young Money meal ticket opined that Macklemore should have apologized to damn near errybody in the game, not just Kendrick. (Sounds like that is really what he was ticked off about.)
It sounds good on paper, but Drake might want to remember that before Macklemore and Ryan Lewis wore their threadbare thrift store wares to the top of the charts, he was the corniest thing in the game. He might want to fall back and thank these two for making him look tough by comparison. After all, he did make this video HERE.
Okay, enough about my thoughts. Your turn:
