Trump’s controversial immigration ban prevents citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Syria and Yemen from entering the U.S. for 90 days and people are extremely upset.

As chaos builds and protests are formed around the world in resistance to Trump’s new law, to relieve a little bit of the frustration felt across the nation, Growing Up Immigrant, a timely, witty and intelligent comedic web series from Ghanaian writer-actor-director, Nathaniel Kweku.

In a statement sent to JET, Kweku, who also stars in the project, shares that the series “explores cultural nuisances through the eyes of a first-generation Ghanaian-American millennial. Nicholas Ajayi (Kweku) has to adjust to living with his spinster aunt while working at a digital media PR agency with other “token” ethnic colleagues and navigating the cultural complexities of interracial dating.”
