J. Moss Talks PAJAM Label
Congratulations to Grammy and Stellar Award winner’s triple threat, J. Moss who recently launched PAJAM Music Group.
The singer, composer and producer along with longtime business partners Paul D. Allen and Walter Kearney flipped their production company into a full fledged record label.
“It’s called PAJAM Music Group or PMG Gospel—it’s up and on the map distributed by Central South,” said the Detroit native whose clientele list is a mile long. “We’ve had PAJAM for 17 years since about 1995. Of course, we produced my CD—J Moss, our artist 21:03 and Ramiyah—the female group that was signed by Mathew Knowles. Also, we’ve worked with and produced Kelly Price, Destiny’s Child, *NSYNC, Dru Hill, the Mighty Clouds of Joy, Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, Smokie Norful, Kirk Franklin and all my cousins—Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole and Kierra Sheard,” said the innovative producer.
The first project on the press will be the super producer’s this summer. “21:03 will be this summer as well,” shared the new music executive.
Speaking of Inspiration—Pastor Donnie McClurkin is scheduled to be special guest speaker for the Faith Community of St. Sabina on Chicago’s South Side. Word Has It—Steve Harvey is out and Taraji P. Henson is in—that’s as Host for BET’s Celebration of Gospel. The award-winning actress will step into Harvey’s shoes as he departs after a 13-year run. “I am thrilled to join the BET family. I look forward to a great evening of incredible music and continuing the rich history of BET and gospel music,” said Henson, who also starred in Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.
Performing artists such as Ruben Studdard, Le’Andria Johnson and Kem will take the stage along with India Arie and Jonathan McReynolds. SWV is expected to take the stage along with the legendary Rance Allen Group. The show premieres on Sunday, April 6 at 8/7 p.m. central on BET.
