Georgia Anne Muldrow Debuts “Great Blacks”

Georgia Anne Muldrow has an extensive repertoire in the music scene. Her intrigue falls in line with the likes of Erykah Badu, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill and Robert Glasper, all of whom she’s collaborated with over the span of her career.

Now, gearing up for her first-ever hip-hop album, A Thoughtiverse Unmarred, the singer, songwriter and producer offers us a solid visual for her single,”Great Blacks.” In the track she flows about soaring from the roots of the many greats before her while appreciating those who maintained faith in her craft and her being.

With a smooth tempo that fuses jazz instrumentation, it’s easy to vibe with the musicality, but Georgia’s storytelling is not to be overlooked, as there’s depth within the lines.

Here’s a sample:
My direction has been shifted from being ignorant and gifted, suicidal and explicit
to being humbly committed and prayerfully submissive to the source of all existence…

Makes you want to know a bit more about her journey. Take a listen below:
