Foodie Fun with Anthony Anderson
From Coachella to Lollapalooza, there’s no shortage of summer music experiences. But what about the food? In Anthony Anderson’s new Food Network show, Eating America with Anthony Anderson, the funny man brings the flavor with an ode to eating outdoors.
“They’re all themed food fests, from crabs to steak, to ribs to strawberries and ice cream,” Anderson explains. “We want to make the public aware of the great festivals, the great food and the people behind it.”
The eight-episode series will feature the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach, Fla., the Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales, La. and the Rockwood Ice Cream Festival in Wilmington, Del., among others.
“The best festivals are the ones where professional cooks are competing,” Anderson shares. “There was a strawberry festival right outside of Chicago where they had everything from strawberry ricotta ravioli to strawberry balsamic chicken.”
