Fetty Wap in Stable Condition After Accident
Fetty Wap is recovering after a car accident over the weekend left him hospitalized.
The rapper was riding his motorcycle in his Paterson, New Jersey hometown on Saturday when he collided with another vehicle. Medics quickly arrived on the scene, and transported the 24-year-old to the emergency room, where he was treated for a broken leg in three places and later discharged.
His camp released the following statement:
“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”
The emcee’s disc jockey, DJ Louie Styles, also updated fans by tweeting a photo of the star responsive in the hospital with a splint on his leg and a bandage of his elbow.
Mr. “Trap Queen” followed up with an Instagram video to tell his followers how much he appreciated their prayers.
The collision came just one day after his self-titled debut album hit stores, which spawned the hits “Trap Queen,” “My Way” and “679.”
