Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper Debut New Video

Jazz pianist Robert Glasper teamed up with Erykah Badu to reimagine the musical composition of Miles Davis’ song “Maiysha,” which was originally recorded in 1974. However this isn’t the first time the two have collaborated. Badu was featured on Glasper’s “Afro Blue” track from his album, Black Radio.

Glasper dedicated his latest album, Everything’s Beautiful, to the reworkings of Miles Davis’ music by adding his own creative touch and vocals from artists such as Ledisi, Stevie Wonder and King.

Recently, the jazz musician dropped a video with Badu, showing the singer as the lead in a band that visually encompasses a classic, minimalist live studio recording of their song, “Maiysha (So Long).”
