Watch Erykah Badu’s Daughter Sing ‘Stay’

You know that phrase, “She get it from her mama”? Well, that perfectly sums up how many Erykah Badu fans are feeling about her 12-year-old daughter Puma.

If you follow Badu on social media, you’ll often see glimpses of her home life, including her too-cute brood of kids–Seven, Puma, and Mars. Even though Badu has shared videos of her singing along with her daughters before, this time around many were stunned to hear young Puma’s angelic voice.

Casually twirling on an indoor swing with a mic in hand, Puma belted out a cover of Rihanna’s hit ballad, “Stay.” And just like any proud mama, Ms. Badu posted videos of her baby sanging to Instagram.

While Badu fans on her Instagram want to see Puma signed to a deal, and Swizz Beats wants her to make a song with his son Egypt, I doubt there’s any rush for the tween to dive into the music business. Give her time.
