‘Empire’ Gets an Upgrade
Family business on top of family drama had us glued to our TV screens during season one of FOX’s grit-fueled drama, Empire.
The intensified first season delivered 12 episodes and a two-hour season finale that left Luscious, the king of the Lyon clan, in the pen and Cookie ready for her full takeover. The animosity is on.
Due to such early success of the show, FOX chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman confirmed that season two of Empire will include 18 episodes and split in two parts.
Part one will end in the fall with a major cliffhanger and part two will pick up in the spring.
Adding to the season upgrades, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo has been added to the music production roster to pen music for the hit series.
If you need a refresh of the Lyon’s roar in season one, you can catch episodes on Hulu.
Empire season two will premiere on Wednesdays at 9pm, this fall.
