DWTS recap: So Long, Keyshawn!

Well, that was fun while it lasted. The first celebrity to go home on this season of Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) is…former Super Bowl champion Keyshawn Johnson. On Monday night, Johnson and his partner, Sharna Burgess, were sent packing after Johnson fumbled the ramba. Pun intended.

Unlike prior seasons, this elimination was determined by a combination of the judges’ scores from the first two nights and the public votes from the season premiere last week. Johnson and Burgess received an 18 for their ramba last night, for a total score of 35. But he was hardly the worst dancer on the show.

In my opinion, that honor belongs to Bill Nye, as much as I loved his science show growing up, and/or comedian Bill Engvall.

Johnson humbly bowed out and said the best part of the competition was the experience.

My favorite frontrunner actress Amber Riley performed a sassy jive with partner Derek Hough, but was told to work on her footwork and received a total score of 51. High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu is hot on her heels after a baseball-themed jive with partner Karina Smirnoff earned the pair a total score of 50.

Meanwhile, singer Christina Milian and partner Mark Ballas performed a rousing paso doble to Lady Gaga’s “Applause.” It was dark and fierce and I loved every minute of it! Milian and Ballas earned a total 47 points.

Your turn: Who do you want to win on DWTS?
