August Alsina is gifting fans with new music this holiday season, because he has revealed the album cover and release date for his sophomore effort This Thing Called Life.
It’ll hit stores Dec. 11, and the artwork and newly released trailer is riveting.
In the clip, the Louisiana-native tosses and turns in bed as thoughts of religion, police brutality, success and more plague his thoughts.
He finally fully awakens as a track from the upcoming project plays.

She announced the news on social media, also sharing the interesting cover art and first single “Can’t Get Enough Of Myself.”
In a press release, she discussed the inspiration behind the record, stating, “We have no illusion that we don’t live in this world where everything is packaged. People’s lives, persona, everything, is deliberate, and mediated. It can be dark and haunting and tricky, and freak us out, but it can be also be silly and fun and we can learn to play with it.”
