‘Devil in a Blue Dress’ is Coming to Broadway

Devil in a Blue Dress, the book-turned-movie starring Denzel Washington, could be hitting Broadway in the near future.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Walter Mosely, the author of the novel, said he was adapting the text for production. The wordsmith also revealed that he was partnering up with composer Branford Marsalis to create the music for the theater version.

Made popular by Washington, who played the lead character of Ezekial “Easy” Rawlins, the film adaption was released in 1995. The drama follows Rawlins as he finds himself caught in the middle of a deadly political scandal.
