LISTEN: Deborah Cox Sings “I Will Always Love You”

Although the production has not yet acquired rights to Whitney Houston’s music for the upcoming biopic, the show must go on. The team has enlisted the help of Deborah Cox to voice the music of the legendary pop star, and a snippet of her version of “I Will Always Love You” has hit the web.

TMZ released an audio clip of the vocalist Saturday. Take a listen!

The songstress, known for her single “Nobody’s Supposed to be Here,” signed on to rerecord many of Houston’s songs for the film, E! announced last week.

Though the late singer’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, disapproves of the movie, the production is in full swing. Pictures of lead actress Yaya DaCosta in costume were recently released.

The Lifetime movie, directed by Angela Bassett, began filming this summer and is expected to debut next year.
