Dancing with the Stars Recap: Go, Tamar!

The competition is heating up for the mirror ball trophy in Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars  and Ms. Tamar Braxton was on fire Monday night.

Each star danced to a song from an iconic television show and Braxton gave a captivating performance to Mad Mens theme.

Braxton showed she can be just as seductive as she is sassy on the dance floor, as she and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy performed a fantastic tango in the third week.

The Grammy-nominated singer earned her way to the top of the leaderboard in the conclusion of last week’s two-night event—but ended Monday with a 33 out of 40, behind Alexa PenaVega and Nick Carter who are tied for first. Watch the dance here.

Former champion Alfonso Ribeiro, who returned to the ballroom as a guest judge, said Braxton was a front runner. Bruno Tonioli apparently agreed.

“You two mean business. Dirty. Ruthless. Business,” the judge shouted at the duo.

And Carrie Ann Inaba called their dance must-see TV.

But you can see that Braxton and Chmerkovskiy have a lot of back and forth going on behind scenes when making decisions about their story. Being the strong woman that she is, Braxton prefers not to play anything less than that when she dances.

Understandable, but her chemistry with Chmerkovskiy has been a thing to work on the last couple of weeks according to the judges.

There’s no denying Braxton’s got moves though and once she completely clicks with her partner no doubt she’ll be a hard one to beat.

Everyone lived to dance another day at the end of the night due to Kim Zolciak-Biermann being forced to withdraw from the competition for health reasons, but celebrities Andy Grammar and Paula Deen were both in jeopardy.

DWTS will be back next week on ABC at 8/7c. Who do you think will be eliminated next?
