Trevor Noah’s debut as the new host of The Daily Show is right around the corner, and his colleagues are pulling out all the stops to make sure he feels welcomed in the new promo video.
In an attempt to suck up to the comedian, three of his fellow correspondents greet him with a cricket mallet, rugby ball and vuvuzela – items associated with Noah’s South African culture.
The 31-year-old, who is succeeding Jon Stewart after a 16-year run, encourages his co-workers to be themselves. But he then corrects them on the pronunciation of the word “zebra,” which he pronounces like “Debra”
