As you may have heard on the Interwebs, Issa Rae Productions recently presented a brand new web series called “First.” And after watching the inaugural episode, I’m pretty sure you’ll join me in asking for seconds of this delicioius romantic comedy.
Described as “a modern day Love Jones,” the series follows childhood friends, Robin and Charles, as they strike up a romance in their late 20s and “fall in love one first at a time.”
Jahmela Biggs, who does triple duty as the series writer/creator, executive producer and co-star, has undeniable chemistry with her on-screen love interest played by Will Catlett. Catlett, by the way, is “that guy” from the popular “That Guy” web series from Black & Sexy TV.
The new duo’s first date has so many cute moments that I almost regret ignoring that Facebook poke from my grammar school boyfriend. Well, almost….
Check out episode 1 below and share your first impression of “First” in the comments below.
