Chris Brown and Keri Hilson Join Wilhelmina
By// Chandler Rollins
Chris Brown and Keri Hilson were signed to Wilhelmina Models this week. The two, best known together for their hit “Superhuman,” were both signed to the artist management division of the agency.
The Wilhelmina team will be working with Ms. Hilson as she gears up for her third studio album. Together they will explore and develop fashion and beauty endorsements, editorial and licensing opportunities for the 5’9″ singer.
The decision to sign Brown though has stirred up some criticism. Many still believe the R&B singer has a negative image, stemming from his assault on Rihanna in 2009. This new contract shows that maybe it’s time we look at Brown in a new light. Taylor Hendrich, the director of Wilhelmina’s men’s division, spoke to Women’s Wear Daily about the deal, “Chris Brown is a…multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand.”
