Chief Keef Sentenced to Two Months in Youth Center

Chief Keef, real name Keith Cozart, has been sentenced to two months at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles, Ill. for a parole violation reports Hip-Hop Wired.

According to Idris “Peeda Pan” Abdul Wahid, a member of the rapper’s management team, Keef began serving his time immediately after sentencing this afternoon.

“I think that overall we would have preferred for him not to have to sit down for a single day,” Peeda told Complex. “Overall, I think it’s the best decision to satisfy everybody. The City of Chicago got what they want… We done been to hell and back already, so s**t ain’t nothing.”

According to the Chicago-Sun Times, the rapper tearfully pleaded with Judge Carl Anthony Walker not to sentence him to juvenile detention. However, Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive said that a source inside of the courtroom stated that it was Keef’s mother who was crying and not the rapper.
