Cedric The Entertainer Comedy Lands CBS Network
Cedric the Entertainer has every bit of funny in his bones. His talent was recently experienced live as he hosted EBONY’s annual Power 100 Gala, last week in Los Angeles.
From celebrating Power 100 honorees to delivering “hood news”, Cedric had the audience cracking up and repeating that phrase that comedians love to hear when their set is going well, “ah, you’re so stupid!”
“The Soul Man” is now gearing up for another performance in the form of a TV comedy heading to the CBS network.
Labeled as a “brothers comedy”, Tony Take The Wheel centers on a relationship between two very opposite brothers whose family dynamic is challenged when Cedric’s character hires his teenage nephew to work at his custom car shop.
The comedy is co-created by Cedric and Spike Feresten, a Seinfeld alum. Feresten will write the series while Cedric serves as an executive producer alongside Eric Rhone and leading character.
The multi-camera comedy comes on the heels of Cedric’s successful series, The Soul Man, which aired on TV Land for five seasons.
Tony Take The Wheel is currently in development.
