CBS is apparently cracking down on the dress code at this Sunday’s 55th GRAMMY Awards according to an email from the network obtained by Deadline Hollywood

In the email, the broadcaster advises that “buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered” and that “thong type costumes are problematic” (as we collectively side-eye Rihanna and Lady GaGa). More verbiage from the hysterical (yet probably necessary) email below:

Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible “puffy” bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts.

Perhaps this is their way of trying to class things up, as we know the GRAMMYS red carpet can typically get pretty…interesting (Remember J Lo’s dangerously low-cut Versace dress or Nicki Minaj’s nun/priestess get-up? ) Or maybe this is just a reaction to the strict FCC guidelines imposed on the network, especially after the Janet Jackson Super Bowl “wardrobe malfunction” in 2004. Either way, are you as excited as we are to see who actually follows these rules?

Our money’s definitely not on Rihanna.
