Sean “Diddy” Combs, aka Puff Daddy, founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, and the rest is history.
Twenty-four years later, Diddy and Live Nation are inviting fans of one of the most legendary music labels in the industry to take a stroll down memory lane. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival traces the emergence of the label in Harlem and Brooklyn. It follows the label’s meteoric rise, explores the tragic murder of Biggie Smalls, and celebrates Bad Boy’s influence on music, fashion, marketing, and culture.
However, don’t think Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop is all about the past, the film moves all the way through the 2016 performances that opened the Bad Boy Reunion tour. Puff Daddy, Lil’ Kim, Ma$e, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112, Total, Carl Thomas, Mary J. Blige and The Lox all reunited to perform.
So when and where will everyone else be able to view this dope documentary?
Starting on June 25, 2017, the film is coming exclusively to Apple Music. Diddy spoke to the press about choosing Apple. He said,
“I knew this was a story that should be shared with the world. Heather Parry and Live Nation Productions, and Director Daniel Kauffman, helped create this very special documentary. Now I’m blessed to also be working with Apple to showcase the film and share Bad Boy’s history and impact with fans. The support Live Nation, Apple and everyone on the team has given to this project is a true testament to the Bad Boy legacy. “
Now all we have to do is wait until June to get our lives.
