Bunny Wailer, an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers, is threatening to sue Snoop Lion (formerly Snoop Dogg) for “outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community’s personalities and symbolism,” according to TMZ.

Snoop announced his name change and subsequent genre switch from rap to reggae last summer after a trip to Jamaica supposedly led him to an artistic epiphany. Wailer, however, claims he’s a fraud.

The Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council believes the same and filed a 7-page demand letter to Snoop. In the documents, they ask him that he stop using the name “Lion,” pay the “financial and moral support” he committed to, and issue a public apology.

“Smoking weed and loving Bob Marley and reggae music is not what defines the Rastafari Indigenous Culture!” they allegedly note in the letter.

According to TMZ, Snoop has yet to make a statement regarding the matter.
