It seems we’ll be stuck in the biopic era for quite some time following the success of BET’s New Edition Story. We’re not mad at that, but should some stories be off limits?
The question posed comes after The Jasmine Brand dropped an exclusive stating that a biopic is in the works for Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
According to the site, TV One purchased the rights to tell Bobbi Kristina’s story and already have talent attached to the project, with Demetria McKinney (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Real Housewives of Atlanta) reportedly taking on the role of Whitney Houston and Vivica A. Fox as Pat Houston, Kristina’s aunt.
Production is said to begin this month.
