Beyoncé’s ‘Ivy Park’ Under Investigation

Uh oh!

Controversy is brewing after reports claim that Beyoncé’s Ivy Park lifestyle-sports apparel line has been running an operation similar to a sweatshop.

The Sun reported that the brand was manufactured in a Sri Lanka factory where its workers receive just $6 a day. Pricing for the brand’s apparel ranges from $25 to $235.

Beyoncé announced the Topshop collaboration last month.

TopShop responded to the allegations in a statement.

“Ivy Park has a rigorous ethical trading program. We are proud of our sustained efforts in terms of factory inspections and audits, and our teams worldwide work very closely with our suppliers and their factories to ensure compliance.”
