Beyoncé Signs Teen Vocalists
It’s no secret that Beyoncé gains inspiration from YouTube. So much that after discovering the Tofo Dancers from Mozambique showing off their intricate footwork, the songbird flew them to the states to teach her and her backup dancers the moves!
An added bonus? The international dance group can be spotted in the 2011 video for her hit single “Run The World.”
The Texas native doesn’t just gain inspiration from the social sharing platform, she also makes dreams come true for talented, aspiring artists. That’s the story behind the recent signing of teen sisters, 17-year-old Chloe Bailey and 15-year-old Halle Bailey.
After Bey’s manager showed her a video of the rising starlets harmonizing a cover of the singer’s “Pretty Hurts,” she signed the L.A. natives to her Parkwood Entertainment company under a $1 million contract. The deal includes the production of up to six albums over the course of five years.
Chloe and Halle aren’t the only ones to be sworn in by Bey. Former X-factor contestant Sophie Beem, 14, also signed a $560,000 contract with Parkwood Entertainment.
