Beyoncé Wants Police to ‘Stop Killing Us’
In a recent statement posted on her website, Beyoncé wants everyone to know that she’s not having it. The Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter penned a lengthy, heartfelt message taking a stand against “any human being who fails to value life.”
This message comes after the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, who both lost their lives in police-involved shootings. Beyoncé joins a number of celebrities including Drake and Jesse Williams in speaking out on recent events.
Here’s part of the statement below:
“…We’re going to stand up as a community and fight against anyone who believes that murder or any violent action by those who are sworn to protect us should consistently go unpunished.
These robberies of lives makes us feel helpless and hopeless but we have to believe that we are fighting for the rights of the next generation, for the next young men and women who believe in good…”
