‘ANTM’ To Return Without Tyra Banks

The latest news about America’s Next Top Model may be bittersweet. While the show is returning to television, creator and host, Tyra Banks, won’t be.

In October, the CW announced the end of the competitive reality series after 22 cycles. However, CBS executives began shopping it around to other networks.

That’s when VH1 slid in for the steal.

“We could not be more excited to bring back and breathe new life into one of the greatest unscripted franchises on television,” said Scott Koondel, CBS’ chief licensing officer. “VH1 is the perfect partner for this new endeavor and we hope this is the beginning of a long relationship.”

With Banks still on board as an executive producer, at least 14 episodes have been ordered. But there’s no word yet on a premiere date or who will serve on the panel of judges.
