Alicia Keys & Chris Rock to Host Black Ball
Alicia Keys is set to share the stage with Chris Rock as she and the comedian host the 2015 Black Ball.
Organized by Keep a Child Alive, a foundation that aims to bring awareness to HIV, the 12th annual event raises funds to provide treatment for families in Africa and India affected by the disease.
“Their future is bright,” says Keys. “But with 25 million people currently living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, we need to get AIDS out of the picture once and for all for Africa to reach [its] full potential.”
So far, the organization has raised more than $24 million, and Pharrell Williams, Jay Z and Oprah Winfrey are just a few of the celebs who have lent a helping hand.
This year’s affair will take place at NYC’s Hammerstien Ballroom on Nov. 5.
