Ex-Bodyguard Talks Afrika Bambaataa Allegations
Shamsideen Shariyf Ali Bey, the former bodyguard of Zulu Nation founder Afrika Bambaataa told Shot97.com that the Bronx DJ has a lengthy history of sexual abuse against boys.
Bey’s allegations come weeks after four gentleman described the nature of their relationship with Bambaataa during the 1980s.
Bey claimed, “There’s always a boy in his house. When I went with him on tour in the states, I’d stay in one room, and he would have boys in the room with him…Since the 70s, it’s been hundreds…I can say I’ve walked in on stuff where I say, what the f–k is going on?”
Accusations of child molestation began circulating about Afrika Bambaataa when Ronald Savage, a former member of the Zulu Nation, gave an exclusive interview to the New York Daily News detailing the pain his relationship with Bambaataa has caused him throughout the years.
Last week, in an interview with the “Ed Lover Show” on Sirius XM, Bambaataa denied all claims and questioned the motive of his accusers.
Shamsideen Shariyf Ali Bey’s interview with The Star Chamber, where he discusses that he has called for allegations to be brought against the “Soul Sonic Force” frontman in 2007, can be watched below.
