A Destiny’s Child Reunion Tour?
Destiny’s Child performing at last week’s Stellar Gospel Awards in Las Vegas was the first time since 2013 that the trio got together to perform since singing at that year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Beyoncé and Kelly joined Michelle on stage to perform the gospel singer’s hit single, “Say Yes,” surprising fans in the crowd and around the world.
The group received a standing ovation from more than 9,000 people in the crowd, but they weren’t introduced as Destiny’s Child. Instead, the ladies were announced by their own names.
Word is that the three want to do a 10-year reunion tour and intend to release a reunion album. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to use the group name for that either.
“Although Destiny’s Child is made up of the three ladies, Beyoncé’s father and former manager Matthew Knowles owns one-fourth of the group as well. Anytime they do anything under the name Destiny’s Child, he has involvement in it and money from it,” according to a source that spoke with Warm Jello.
None of the members want any involvement with Knowles, who once managed each of their individual careers in addition to overseeing the group.
He hasn’t represented any of the ladies since 2011.
