Makeup Forever Ad In Black Girl Magic Glory

All of our melanin-rich faves in one place.

Makeup Forever’s new campaign #BlendInStandOut is about building support around anti-bullying as much as it is about the range of foundation that the brand has to offer. Their recent ad includes all of our Instagram faves, including the face of the campaign, Khoudia Diop. “The message I have for my sisters is that how you look doesn’t matter as long as you feel beautiful inside,” said Diop. The campaign which features a range of influencers asks the question, “What do you stand for?”

Diop couldn’t be a better representation for this campaign as an advocate for self-acceptance and diversity. Makeup Forever partnered with The Colored Girl, founded by Victory Jones and Tori Elizabeth, to also bring in nine other influencers that all feel comfortable in their own skin. “It’s weird to be made to feel like you’re less than for something that you can’t help — it sucks. And, when it happens when you’re little it’s horrible because it scars you. You want to forget it, but it’s indelibly engrained in your brain even if you suppress it. It informs choices that you make in the future. I think I’m still overcoming experiences with color-ism. You get to a point when you realize that who you are matters more than how you look, but there is still a strength that I have specifically because I live in this skin,” Jones shared with Essence.
