More and more women are opting for shorter hairstyles these days — and honey, I’m not mad at it! Every time I watch The Today Show or Good Morning America, I always look forward to seeing how Tamron Hall or Robin Roberts rocks their pixie cut, and then I try to duplicate the look myself.

So is this a phase, or are shorter hairstyles really where it’s at?

I’m convinced that Tamron and I would be the best of friends, because we have very similar hair and makeup styles. We’d talk about the convenience, sophistication, edge and classic glamour that shorter hairstyles offer until we were blue in the face. We’d trade makeup tips about finding the perfect shade of red lipstick, talk about the best TV makeup for my appearance on Today (bucket list) and laugh about all of the times we got a really bad haircut. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Robin’s short ‘do too, but there’s something about Tamron’s cut that’s more modern and fresh.

Aside from the inspiration of my favorite TV anchor, I love waking up in the morning not having to worry about overly styling my hair. Depending on the look I’m going for, I usually finger style my hair and add a lightweight polishing serum.

Of course I try to minimize the amount of heat that I use on my hair, but depending on the style, sometimes I’ll use a flatiron to add more curl definition.  Now, I’m totally the queen of makeovers, so don’t be surprised if you see me skipping down the street with a long curly weave or wig at some point. I think Tamron would support my decision, don’t you think? I mean, I love my short hairstyle, but it’s always fun to switch things up a bit and see the reaction on peoples faces.

In the meantime, I’ve rounded up some of the hottest pixie cuts of A-list celebrities and TV personalities. Y’all already know who my fave is, but who’s yours? Let me know in the comments!
