You Can Now Shop Smashbox’s New On-Trend Lip Collection Before It Officially Releases
Is it just me or is the flat matte lipstick look officially dead? (It’s not just me).
Glosses are back in a big way, especially foil lippies which have taken over our Instagram feeds over the past month; lip art is a thing, and we’re totally into it. Smashbox has cleverly arrived just on-time with their Be Legendary Liquid Lip Collection while we patiently wait for Pat McGrath’s “Everything” kit, releasing today at 12 PM, which is a three-step kit that involves putting literal microfine glitter on our lips (um, yes–more on that later).
The Be Legendry Liquid Lip Collection includes Smashbox’s Liquid Pigments and Liquid Metals which each includes eight shades at $24 per tube. Smashbox knocked it out of the park with their matte collection and this is just a continuation of getting it right. The liquid gel formula is smooth, blendable, and highly pigmented. The wand is also shaped with an angled applique making it super easy to apply in one fool-proof swipe over your matte lipstick for shine or dimension.
The Liquid Pigment could be considered your daytime lipstick collection with shades that are a high-shine range of pink and red glosses from “Girl, Please”, a raisin-pink shade, to “Bad Apple”, a coral red. The Liquid Metal shades are your new lippie besties for a night out or day party where you can experiment with a more daring look using “Iced Out”, a metallic blue gloss. The collection is available right now on Ulta.com, a week before its officially release in stores. In short, I would get on that.
