Latoya Wilson & Otis Hudson Jr.

Venue: Bryan Park Golf and Conference Center in Greensboro, NC

Honeymoon: Las Vegas, NV

Home: Greensboro, NC

Latoya is a patient billing representative for LabCorp. Otis is a school resource officer for Western Guilford High School. The duo met on Twitter via mutual friends and dated for two years before getting engaged in Philadelphia’s JFK Plaza, commonly known as Love Park. Once they were in front of the iconic Love statue, Otis handed Latoya a letter he’d written to her late father requesting her hand in marriage. When Latoya finished reading, she looked up only to find Otis down on one knee.

He knew he was in love when…

She was the last thing on his mind at night and the first thought of the morning.

She knew she was in love when…

She realized he was just as corny as she was.

In 10 years we will…

Hopefully have two children, a Labradoodle named Snuffy and still be crazy in love.

Before the groom got married, he wishes someone had told him…

Weddings were so expensive.

Before the bride got married, she wishes someone had told her…

How stressful planning a wedding can be.

Our favorite activity to do together is…

Travel. We both love it and plan to get the majority of it out of our system before children.

Our nicknames for each other…

“Sweet Pea” and “Odie,” because she’s so sweet and petite and “Odie” because it’s a name Latoya and her best friend called Otis jokingly and it just stuck.

Our favorite place to spend time together is…

On the couch in front of the tube watching Scandal.

Our song is…

“So in Love” by Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton. It was the song for our first dance.

Our perfect date night is…

Catching a good concert. We’re concert junkies and music lovers so we try to support our artists when they are in or close to our city.
