Aida-Kai Johnson & Jonathan  Anderson

Venue: Oak Arbor Church in Rochester, MI

Honeymoon: Montego Bay, Jamaica

Home: Grosse Pointe Woods, MI

Aida-Kai is a social worker for Children’s Protective Services. Jonathan is a logistics supervisor for Bontaz-Centre USA. During a trip to Niagara Falls, Jonathan proposed to Aida-Kai with a cubic zirconia and explained it was all he could afford. She said “yes,” but on the last day of the trip he asked again—this time, with a real diamond ring.

He knew he was in love when…

He saw how Aida-Kai put others before herself and how passionate she was about her family, career and goals.

She knew she was in love when…

Jonathan used his vacation time to help me drive to South Carolina to visit and take care of Aida-Kai’s grandmother.

In 10 years we will…

Still be in marital bliss.

Before the groom got married, he wishes someone had told him…

That when you don’t take time out of your busy schedule to spend time together as a couple, you can be moody and not see eye-to-eye.

Before the bride got married, she wishes someone had told her…

That there’s no such thing as a “perfect marriage.”

Our favorite activity to do together is…

Spending time with our family. Most of the family dinners and game nights take place at our home.

Our nicknames for each other are…

“Love Muffin” and “Baby Girl” because they’re cute names that make us smile.

Our favorite place to spend time together is…

At the park, making each other laugh.

Our song is…

“Share My Life.”

Our perfect date night is…

A romantic dinner and a movie and just spending quality time together.
