The ladies of Mary Mary are the ultimate go-getters. Over the last decade the sister act, consisting of Erica and Tina Campbell, solidified their spot in gospel music his- tory via impressive album sales and by conquering new territory: television. But being at the top of their game also means working non-stop — an admitted challenge for the married moms.
“I just want to take a nap,” Erica says with a laugh. That snooze might have to wait. While touring to support their latest album, Go Get It, the pair is also gearing up for the second season of their eponymous WeTV reality series, which premieres December 6. “We know what we’re doing is serving a greater purpose, and believe that when you want something you go after it,” Erica adds. “Even though we’re tired, we just keep pushing.”
Tina, whose difficult pregnancy is at the heart of this season’s drama, agrees. “In the 12 years that we have been a group we’ve never had more than three weeks off,” she says of their hectic schedule. “So, I just need a break.”
